Washington VINE Protective Order (VPO) is an automated service that allows you, the petitioner, to track the status of a protective order over the phone or internet. You may also register to be notified by text message, email, or phone about changes in the service status of a protective order. Once registered, you will receive notification when:
The order has been served on the respondent.
Your order is 30-days and 120-days from expiring. This is to ensure that you have time to renew your order with the court if you wish.
The respondent has attempted to purchase/transfer a firearm within Washington State and was denied.
If you choose to receive phone notifications and the system has a notification to deliver, it will call the number that you have registered. When called, you will be asked to enter your PIN followed by the # key. Entering your PIN lets the service know that you received the call and will stop the service from calling you again. If you forget your PIN, call the following toll-free number (1-877-242-4055), select a language, and press zero. You will be transferred to a service representative who will help you reset your PIN. Unlike phone notifications, text message and email notifications will be delivered to your chosen notification method only once and no PIN confirmation is required.
For additional information, please download our brochure, available in English and Spanish . WA VINE Protective Order is provided by the Washington Association of Sheriffs and Police Chiefs.
All information provided to the WA VINE Protective Order Service is private and confidential.
To search for an order, please enter information in the following fields exactly as it appears on the protective order. Press the Search button when you are finished. If you are unable to locate your protective order, you will have the option to "pre-register" for notifications. Pre-notification can ensure that once your order is entered into the system, your registration will be added to the record.
